Carlos Pellegrini 956

For its 140 meters wide, it is known as "the widest avenue" in the world. It crosses the city center from Constitución to Av. Del Libertador. It was opened in 1937 and was originally designed by the prestigious landscaper Carlos Thays. It has 1000 jacaranda trees, ceibos and cherry trees, many of them donated by Japan. The challenge for those who regularly cross it is to do it walking from one end to the other in a single attempt and without stopping the traffic lights.
